Our Journey & Growth

In the early 1980s, our founding partners recognized a gap in the construction market for a rebar producer that could do more than just supply fabricated steel. The industry needed a provider who could deliver steel quickly while acknowledging the fast-paced nature of construction projects. This necessity led to the establishment of Bec-Don Rebar Fabricating.

In 1985, William “Bill” Casey and Terry Owens founded Bec-Don Rebar Fabricating in a leased industrial space in Lithonia, GA. With occasional support from family members, Bill and Terry built the business from the ground up, focusing on relationship-building and credibility—primarily within the residential construction sector.

Due to rapid growth, Bec-Don Rebar Fabricating relocated to downtown Conyers, GA, where it remained for nearly a decade. This move allowed us to expand into commercial and industrial markets, leveraging our established reputation for quality and reliability.

By 1995, Bill and Terry acquired eight acres in Oxford, GA, just 10 minutes from Conyers, and built our state-of-the-art 30,000+ square foot facility—a space that remains our home today.
